The Women’s Health Hub provides assessment and follow-up for early pregnancy concerns, miscarriage and early medical abortion in Southeast Auckland. Care is tailored to your symptoms, circumstances and preferences.
We can discuss your pregnancy options without judgement, arrange appropriate laboratory or ultrasound referrals, review results, and plan follow-up or referral when needed. Contact us promptly for pain or bleeding in early pregnancy.
We can provide laboratory referral forms, including hCG testing where clinically indicated, and interpret results alongside your symptoms and any ultrasound findings. A pregnancy test or hCG result alone cannot always confirm the location or viability of an early pregnancy.
During pregnancy or after a miscarriage or termination, we can arrange appropriate STI testing and treatment when clinically indicated. We do not provide a general standalone sexual health clinic. Tell us about any symptoms at your appointment.
We do not perform ultrasounds at our clinic. When an ultrasound is clinically indicated, we can provide a request and help arrange imaging with an external provider. We review the result with you and discuss the next step.
We can discuss and arrange suitable contraception as part of care following an abortion or miscarriage. If you need a method we do not provide, we can refer you to an appropriate service.
If you are interested in a contraceptive implant after pregnancy care, we can discuss the option and arrange a referral to an appropriate provider. Implant insertion and removal are not offered at this clinic.
We can discuss IUD options and arrange a referral for insertion or removal after abortion or miscarriage care. We do not insert or remove IUDs at The Women’s Health Hub.
Seek urgent assessment for severe or worsening pain, shoulder-tip pain, fainting, very heavy bleeding or fever. An ectopic pregnancy needs prompt medical assessment. Contact us for guidance if you are unsure where to seek care.
