Phone Consultations for Eligible Private Clients

The Women’s Health Hub offers phone assessment for non-residents who are not eligible for publicly funded care, where clinically appropriate. New Zealand citizens and residents receiving funded care attend an in-person appointment at our Southeast Auckland clinic.

How Phone Assessment Works

For eligible non-resident clients, we review your pregnancy history, symptoms and medical history by phone. We arrange indicated tests and a local pharmacy plan, give clear medicine instructions, and agree a follow-up and safety plan. Suitability is decided after clinical assessment.

If you are unsure whether phone care is appropriate, contact us. We will discuss your location, access to tests and pharmacy services, and how to seek help if needed.

What to Expect During Your Consultation:

  1. Clinical assessment: We discuss your medical and pregnancy history, symptoms, gestation and any need for imaging.
  2. Testing and medicines: We provide laboratory requests and an ultrasound referral when indicated and arrange medication through a suitable pharmacy.
  3. Instructions: We explain what to expect, pain relief and warning signs.
  4. Follow-up: We review hCG results 10–14 days after treatment and discuss a CheckTOP test at around 28 days.
  5. Support: You have access to our 24/7 on-call clinical support during care.
