Abortion Care for Non-Residents in Nelson, Tasman & Marlborough

Phone consultations are available for non-residents, including people in New Zealand on visitor visas, working holiday visas, student visas and other temporary visas, where clinically suitable. You do not need a GP referral to contact us.

If you are staying or working in Nelson, Tasman, Motueka, Blenheim or Marlborough, you can contact The Women’s Health Hub directly about private early medical abortion care. Our only physical clinic is in Howick, Southeast Auckland. Phone consultations are available for clinically suitable non-residents, including visitor visa, working holiday visa, student visa and other temporary visa holders.

Nelson-Tasman and Marlborough have significant seasonal apple, hop and vineyard work. If you are in New Zealand on a working holiday or temporary work visa, we can discuss how follow-up testing and any necessary imaging can be coordinated around your location.

Private pathway

The private early medical abortion pathway is NZ$500. External hCG testing through Awanui Labs or Pathlab is paid directly to the laboratory; ultrasound charges are separate if imaging is clinically indicated.
