Abortion Care for Non-Residents in Rotorua & Taupō

Phone consultations are available for non-residents, including people in New Zealand on visitor visas, working holiday visas, student visas and other temporary visas, where clinically suitable. You do not need a GP referral to contact us.

Rotorua and Taupō are major visitor centres in the Central North Island. If you discover you are pregnant while travelling or working in the region, you can contact The Women’s Health Hub directly without a GP referral. Our physical clinic is in Southeast Auckland, but phone consultations are available for clinically suitable non-residents.

What may need to happen locally

Depending on your gestation, symptoms and medical history, we may arrange hCG testing and, when clinically indicated, an ultrasound with an external provider. If an in-person assessment is needed, we will explain that before treatment proceeds.

Our private clinical pathway is NZ$500. External laboratory and imaging charges are separate.
